Bosch Rexroth Opens Mobile Hydraulics Lab at Greenville Technical College

The new Bosch Rexroth Mobile Hydraulics Lab at Greenville Technical College was dedicated on November 18 at the Buck Mickel Center in Greenville. The lab was made possible by Bosch Rexroth's donation of more than $400,000 in training equipment and a $20,000 grant from the Bosch Community Fund.

Berend Bracht, president and CEO of Bosch Rexroth in the Americas, said their newly expanded $80 million manufacturing facility in Fountain Inn will need technically competent associates for years to come and accelerated the need for a partnership with Greenville Technical College. The equipment lab will help students, customers and Bosch Rexroth associates get important hands-on experience with hydraulics. Along with the equipment, Bosch Rexroth is also supplying books, online training and manuals for teachers and students.

The lab will ultimately be moved to the Center for Manufacturing Innovation (Enterprise Campus). The CMI is another partnership between GTC and Clemson University for the purpose of educating the advanced manufacturing workforce for the automotive, transportation and other high tech sectors. It will be located at the Millennium Campus next to Clemson's International Center for Automotive Research.
