The Greenville Tech Foundation celebrated donor impact with a virtual Donor Appreciation Reception on Tuesday, April 20th.  The event featured opening remarks from Dr. Keith Miller, president of Greenville Technical College; remarks from Ann Wright, vice president for advancement; stories of student success; and a special culinary cooking demonstration with Chef Bill Twaler, chef instructor at the Truist Culinary and Hospitality Innovation Center at Greenville Technical College.

The event highlighted 2020 successes made possible by the generous support of donors who truly make a difference in the lives of Greenville Technical College students.  During the event, we heard from:

  • Lacy - a culinary arts major and scholarship recipient with big dreams of opening her own restaurant to celebrate her daughter who passed away from childhood cancer.
  • Shadé - a human services major, emergency needs recipient, Army Veteran, and single mother of three who was struggling to find the funds to pay off a past due balance so she could enroll in her final class at Greenville Tech.
  • Antione - a health information management major, veteran, and participant in the African American Male Scholars Initiative (AAMSI) who has returned to college to show his children the importance of higher education.
We invite you to watch a recording of the event on YouTube to learn more about the impact your donations have on the lives Greenville Tech students!
