Lockheed Martin-Greenville Gifts Provide Scholarships and Support of the Greenville Tech 50th Anniversary Celebration

Lockheed Martin-Greenville has continued its support of the students at Greenville Technical College with a gift of $30,000 to be used for scholarship assistance for students in the college's aviation maintenance program. The gift will assist 12 to 14 students over the next school year. There are 122 students in the program. When the aviation students graduate they qualify for Federal Aviation Administration certification that opens doors to employment at aviation industry leaders like Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Stevens Aviation, Gulfstream and GE Aviation. Starting salaries are well over $30,000 annually. The support from Lockheed Martin also includes a "bronze" level sponsorship of the Greenville Technical College 50th Anniversary Gala to be held on September 20, 2012. The Lockheed Martin support totals $35,000.
