Six Auto Body Repair students at Greenville Technical College have received $1,000 scholarships thanks to a gift to the Greenville Tech Foundation. The support comes from the RPM Foundation, which works to prepare the next generation of automotive restoration and preservation craftsmen.

Greenville Technical College's Auto Body Repair Program incorporates restoration techniques and skills as it helps students prepare for the certification exams covering technologies, materials, and vehicle makes and models that are required to succeed in the profession. Students learn about unibody/full frame structural repair, welding, estimating, automotive electricity, air conditioning, restraints, and refinishing. They qualify for positions as automotive body repair technicians, estimators, refinish technicians, customer advisors, and more.

The RPM Foundation provides funding through scholarships and grants to organizations that have a proven history of being committed to the hands-on training of young people. This support provides the pathway to careers in automotive and marine restoration and preservation craftsmen and artisans through formal training and mentorship.
